| The tube testers of Funke had a leading position on the German market. Similar products of Neuberger never reached the same number of units. By using test cards which were put on the test card panel and the plugs to establish the nesessary connections, also the layman could perfom faultless tests of the tubes. A needle instrument indicated the test results. The test card divided the indication of the instrument pointer into 'bad', 'still usable' and 'good. In case of multi-system tubes up to 4 test cards are used for one tube. (e.g. EABC80). Funke also provided test strips to keep a permanent record. These were to be attached to the tubes. That way the interested party received a qualified assessment of the condition of the tube. Additional test cards were offered by Funke as an updating service. Also tube testers could be sent to Funke for checking and calibrating. Many models offered besides an extensive index-list for tubes/test card numbers and also short references of mostly used tubes to be stored in the tube tester cover. Some models were equipped also with adaptors for testing additional tubes. Some of the models offered besides tube testing by using special test cards to check dial lamps, capacitors, d.c. voltage, direct current, chart recording, cables (resistance), leakage current of electrolytics, fuses and resistors. Besides some of the models offered auditory checks by connecting headphones and listening for crackling and scratching noises. Funke also built oscilloscopes,
measuring instruments (Piccomat capacitor tester, etc.), amateur radio receivers
(RX57, RX60, Mikrohet). Among others Funke produced also:

Die Roehrenpruefer (Röhrenprüfgeräte,
Röhrenprüfer) von Funke waren Marktfuehrer. Die Konkurrenz-Produkte
von Neuberger erreichten nie die gleichen Stueckzahlen. Funke stellte auch Pruef-Streifen zur Protokollierung bereit, die auf die Roehren aufgeklebt werden konnten. Dadurch erhielt der Pruef-Nachfrager eine qualifizierte Beurteilung des Zustandes der Roehre. Weitere Pruefkarten fuer neue Roehren wurden von Funke im Rahmen eines Aktualisierungs-Service angeboten. Darueber hinaus konnten die Pruefgerate zu Funke eingesandt werden, um eine Pruefung und Kalibrierung durchfuehren zu lassen. Bei vielen Modellen wurden neben der umfangreichen Index-Liste fuer Roehre/Prufkarten-Nummer auch Kurz-Referenzen der am meisten verwendeten Roehren zum Einlegen in den Pruefgeraetedeckel bereit gestellt. Einige Modelle verfuegten auch ueber Adapter fuer weitere Roehren. Bei verschiedenen Modellen waren neben der Roehrenpruefung durch Auflegen spezieller Karten auch Pruefungen von Skalenbirnen, Kondensatoren, Gleichspannung, Gleichstrom, Kennlinien-Aufnahme, Leitungen (Ohm), Reststrommessungen von Elektrolytkondensatoren, Sicherungen, Widerstaenden moeglich. Weiter konnten bei verschiedenen Modellen sogenannte Krachel-Pruefungen mit Hilfe eines anschliessbaren Kopfhoerers erfolgen. Funke baute auch:
